In this talk held at Godrej India Culture Lab's Urban (Re)Imagination conferance on 15th January 2011 Urbz researchers Rahul Srivastava and Matias Echanove discuss the concept of an informal city with different perspectives on Mumbai's Dharavi area. They find striking similarities between Dharavi and Tokyo neighbourhoods and argue for a more nuanced way of viewing urban development.
