In this talk, held at the Godrej India Culture Lab's Urban (Re)Imagination conference on January 15, 2011, Gyan Prakash (Professor of History at Princeton University and the author of 'Mumbai Fables') spoke about how he wrote a history of Mumbai city, with all its complexity, fragments, and layers. His talk was accompanied by reading of excerpts from 'Mumbai Fables' and a slide show of some of the book's most memorable characters like Doga, the comic superhero.
