While Section 377 was read down in 2018, the battle for equality for the LGBTQ community continues on. The Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy presented insights from their report 'Queering the Law: Making Indian Laws LGBTQ+ Inclusive' at our event 'Queering the Law' held on 10, Jan 2020. Vidhi's report is a set of five chapters which analyze India’s legal regime across themes of identity, violence, family and employment. The report asks questions that reflect the gaps in the laws related to the queer community.
