What's Sex Got To Do With It? A Public Adda

What's sex got to do with it? A lot. A little. Nothing. Everything.

It all depends on your point of view. Point of View and the Godrej India Culture Lab were proud to present 'What's Sex Got To Do With It? A public adda' with four fabulous feministas: Mona, Paro, Geeta, Bish.

Mona Eltahawy is the author of Headscarves and Hymens: Why The Middle East Needs a Sexual Revolution. "I am a big fan of discomfort, it questions our privilege," she's been known to say.

Paromita Vohra is a filmmaker and writer whose online platform Agents of Ishq is a space for people to talk about sex with joy and pleasure. In her own words, "We give sex a good name."

Geeta Patel is the author of Risky Bodies and Techno-Intimacy: Reflections on Sexuality, Media, Science, Finance. She is an associate professor at University of Virginia (UVA) and is also the director of UVA in India. Geeta believes “desire should be sated with joy, shake you down, upend your being, crawl under your skin”.

Bishakha Datta is the co-founder of the non-profit Point of View, which publishes Deep Dives: Sexing The Interwebs, and the Sexuality and Disability blog. As she sometimes says, "Without the point of view of women, what's the point?"

This was a rollicking adda on sex, feminism, lipstick and other lady-oriented issues in celebration of Point of View's 20th anniversary.
