For 38 generations, the Merasi have composed, performed and maintained a vibrant, distinct folk music legacy that is on the verge of extinction due to India's rapid modernisation. They are essentially known as 'keepers of stories' which flow from generation to generation. The group has one of the most enthusiastic singers of all age groups and dancers and a play a variety of instruments that completely enthrall the audience.
They are artists who perform for hours together with songs that weave the magic of the Rajasthani traditions and culture and keep the audience asking for more! This event was in association with the Lok Kala Sagar Sansthan.
