Sathya Saran loves writing, music, cinema and all things connected with the creative arts, which is why all the biographies she has written are connected with music: within and outside movies. Her books Ten Years with Guru Dutt: Abrar Alvi's Journey and Sun Mere Bandhu Re: The Musical World of SD Burman have won critical and popular acclaim, with her recent work Jagjit Singh garnering its share of appreciation as well. With twelve years as Editor of Femina and five as Editor of Me Magazine for DNA behind her, she is now Consulting Editor with Harper Collins and Adjutant Professor for Fashion Journalism at NIFT.
