Stressed out by the technological and financial acceleration, we are trying to keep up a rhythm which will end in predictable ecological, economical and social disasters. Across the world people are leaving the daily grind to lead better lifestyles by constructing alternative ways of living. French Director Philippe Borrel tracks down these people for his documentary The Invisible (R)evolutions.

In October 1991, an entire country watched transfixed as a poised, beautiful African-American woman in a blue dress sat before a Senate committee of 14 white men. With a clear, unwavering voice, Anita Hill recounted the repeated acts of sexual harassment she had endured while working with U.S. Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas. Her testimony was a turning point for gender equality in the U.S. and ignited a political firestorm about sexual misconduct and power in the workplace that resonates even today.

Mardistan (Macholand) is an exploration of Indian manhood articulated through the voices of four men from different generations and backgrounds. A middle-aged writer trying to make sense of the physical and sexual abuse he witnessed studying in an elite military academy, a Sikh father of twin daughters resisting the pressure to produce a son, a young 20-year-old college student looking for a girlfriend with whom he can lose his virginity and a working-class gay activist coming out to his wife after twenty years of marriage.

Are seeds a commodity or a vital resource to be shared for the benefit of humanity like the water we drink or the air we breathe? In the near future, farmers might lose the right to plant their own seeds. In Europe, a regulation is emerging which will impose strict controls on the use of agricultural seeds. Behind this appropriation stand five corporations already governing half of the seeds market and looking to spread their stranglehold even further.
