With over 15 books to his name, including Becoming a Mountain: Himalayan Journeys in Search of the Sacred and the Sublime, Stephen Alter was Writer-in-Residence at MIT for ten years and is one of India’s foremost nature writers. Our Lab is proud to kickstart our Nature Month with a special talk by him.

We have great news! Our Lab won one of the biggest awards in art this year at the India Today Art Awards. In its debut edition, we were awarded with the best Corporate Commitment to Art award, and it feels really special to be recognized for all the work we have been doing in our Viva Vikhroli. We want to thank Nisa Godrej for the unfailing support she has shown our cultural experiment and you our dear readers for showing your constant support.

Our power-packed panel at the Diversity Funda comprised Radhika Piramal, Padma Iyer and Joe Zachariah. The conversation was moderated by Farah Nathani-Menzies, head of Diversity & Inclusion at Godrej Industries.                                                                                                                                           Through this discussion, the panel explored the how the LGBT community can feel free in every area of life - from home to the workplace.

Violinist and vocalist Sunita Bhuyan broke myths surrounding so called inaccessible music styles. Through this performance cum lecture she spoke about how different genres of music from classical to folk to world are founded on the same universal seven notes. Bhuyan also touched upon Music Therapy, and demonstrated how it can be used as a medium to foster leadership and collaboration.
